Citizen advocates are trained volunteers who offer information and support to their partner (the client) over specified issues. The KAG
citizen advocacy service is provided in Kingston and across all of Surrey.
Volunteers are trained and supported to work in partnership with a person with a learning disability or mental health need. The volunteer is given back-up and supervision by a KAG co-ordinator, and
works to a set of approved
guidelines.
